How To Build A List The Easy Way

Without plenty of incentive, the average visitor to your website will not come back for a second look. As many of us visit pages by whim, it is not an easy task to remember which web pages we have visited. Even if the website has a great amount of traffic, every time that 1,000 visitors visit, most leave immediately and take their potential buying power with them. You might be making money from your website, as you could have turned a portion of your website visits into actual customers. The bottom line is that your visitor may not come back to your website again unless you convince them to join your mailing list!

Unfortunately, great content is usually not enough to build a loyal following of visitors. Once you get them to opt-in, things start looking differently. You should place an opt-in form somewhere on your page and perhaps even offer an incentive, such as a free report or a useful piece of software, to increase the number of sign-ups.

Once you start getting subscribers, you will be able to send them follow up emails, giving you a proven way to promote your own or affiliate products or services. If you write compelling email promos, the chance of turning your subscribers into customers will greatly increase.

A tried and tested method of gathering more subscribers is article marketing. You simply wright an article on a subject related to your website, but do not reveal everything in it. When you are done, have it distributed to the major article directories, where website owners are often looking for interesting content for their sites.

As many can attest to, article writing is a great way to practice viral marketing. In the real sense, you are actually proving your worth and demonstrating your expertise about your business through the articles you write.

Include a well written resource box with links to your site at the end of every article, and the amount of sign-ups should quickly increase. If your articles are interesting enough, webmasters are likely to pick them up and place them on their sites along with the resource box. This is a great way of generating traffic as well as backlinks to your site, which is a crucial thing as far as your position in the search engine rankings is concerned.
